SUMMARY:EducArte’s Brazilian Dance Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of Recife’s carnival dance\, frevo! Dancer and dance scholar Kate Spanos will demonstrate and teach frevo dance using the methodology of Mexe Com Tudo (Otávio Bastos) of Recife. Also stay for our percussion ensemble workshop with André Coelho immediately following the dance workshop!\n\nThis is a regularly occurring Brazilian dance workshop hosted by EducArte. All levels are welcome to participate.\n\nThis event is free and open to the public. While primarily intended for adults\, everyone is welcome. Please note that this workshop will be held at Old Parish House of College Park at 4711 Knox Road.\n\nThe event is a program of College Park-based arts non-profit EducArte.
