SUMMARY:Summer Samba Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Take our Summer Samba Challenge to tone your body\, build and polish your samba dance technique\, and experience other dances of Brazil! \nThis summer\, EducArte is offering weekly 2-hour fitness and Brazilian dance classes in the heart of Downtown Silver Spring on Thursdays from July 10-31. The classes are taught by our experienced samba instructors Amina Malik and Mariana Triginelli. \nEach weekly session includes: \n\nConditioning: A medium-impact circuit to strengthen arms\, legs\, back\, and core\, and improve agility\, supporting your dance technique.\nSamba no pé technique: Focused samba no pé instruction\, with attention to precision\, speed\, and style.\nBrazilian “dance sampler”: Explore different Brazilian dance styles\, including frevo from Recife (taught by Kate Spanos)\, axé from Bahia (taught by Mariana Triginelli)\, and capoeira (taught by Pablo Regis).\n\nRegistration for the full four-week session is encouraged. Drop-ins are also welcome. \n\nProgram details\n\nDates: Thursdays\, July 10 to July 31\, 2025\nTime: 6:30-8:30 p.m.\nLocation: Maryland Youth Ballet\, 926 Ellsworth Dr\, Silver Spring\, MD\, 2nd floor\nCost: 4-week session for $100 ($25 per class value)\, or take a drop-in for $35 per session\n\n\n \n\nPhoto credit: Heather O’Steen Photography.
