SUMMARY:EducArte’s Brazilian Dance Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This event is free and open to the public. While primarily intended for adults\, everyone is welcome. It will be held at the Old Parish House of College Park at 4711 Knox Road. \nLearn from Brazilian samba dancer Katie Kirkpatrick\, who has been performing and teaching in the DC area for over ten years. She has trained with some of the best samba experts in the country\, as well as from Brazil\, and specializes in choreography\, technique\, and stylings. Katie will demonstrate and teach the basics of samba dance. Also stay for our percussion ensemble workshop with André Coelho immediately following the dance workshop! \nThis is a regularly occurring Brazilian dance meetup to create a new community ensemble. All levels are welcome to participate. \nThe event is a program of College Park-based arts non-profit EducArte.
