DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate the release of master percussionist Scott Kettner‘s new book\, “The Essential Pandeiro Method\,” on Saturday\, July 2 at Eaton House in downtown DC. \nScott will perform solo compositions and improvisations and will talk about some key elements from his new book\, a complete guide for students and educators about pandeiro techniques and grooves. He will also be joined on stage by DC native progressive hip hop artist\, Christylez Bacon. The performance will take you on a rhythmic journey through Brazil\, New Orleans\, and more. \nThe performance will be interactive and is family friendly\, to expose drummers and non-musicians alike to the pandeiro. \n★ BONUS: All ticket buyers are entered in a raffle to win a Meinl pandeiro or a copy of Scott’s new book. We will choose winners at the event.
