Now living on the West Coast\, Richard received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in music theory from Catholic University and was the premier Brazilian guitarist and arranger in Washington\, D.C.\, including serving as the Music Director for the Kennedy Center’s commissioned musical\, “OLIVERio: A Brazilian Twist.” \nEducArte presents Richard Miller at the Brentwood Arts Exchange’s Listening Room Concert Series.

SUMMARY:Pablo Regis Band at Maryland Folk Festival
DESCRIPTION:Pablo Regis is a cavaco (string instrument) player\, singer\, and percussionist performing Brazilian music in the D.C. metro area. He grew up in Los Angeles and Brasília\, surrounded by Brazilian music and culture. He is a recipient of a Maryland State Arts Council 2018 Individual Artist Award. He has also trained in a variety of Brazilian movement styles\, including the martial art of capoeira\, and frevo and cavalo marinho from the state of Pernambuco.
