Join us once a week on Thursday evenings for our Brazilian samba dance classes at Maryland Youth Ballet in Silver Spring!

EducArte welcomes all levels, from beginners to advanced, semi-professionals, and dance instructors. The dance class meets once a week to work on technique, repertoire, and performance. All students will have the opportunity to perform periodically with the EducArte percussion ensemble, if they choose to.

About the instructor

Mariana Triginelli was born and raised in Minas Gerais, Brazil, and has been immersed in samba since the age of six. Her love for samba and Brazilian Carnival runs deep, fueling her lifelong passion for dance. Over the years, she has refined her skills through workshops with renowned samba instructors, including Natalia Moreno and Preta Nascimento. Mariana brings her vibrant energy and cultural pride to every class, making samba not just a dance, but an exciting and transformative experience for her students.   • 4-week Intro Series (January 16 – February 6) – Learn the fundamentals of samba no pé technique and rhythm! ($70)
  • 6-week Choreography I Series (February 13 – March 20) – Get ready to perform a beginner choreography at the March 23 Sarau de Samba! ($105)
  • 6-week Choreography II Series (March 27 – May 8) – Get ready to perform a beginner choreography at the May 10 Sarau de Samba! ($105)
  • 4-week Technique Series (May 15 – June 5) – Hone your technique, musicality, and style! ($70)
  • Full semester tuition (January 16 – June 5) ($300)
  • Drop-in ($20)
