EducArte presents Irish céilí dances in Maryland and the DC region. An Irish céilí is a social gathering with live music and group dancing, similar to a square dance or contra dance. Our céilís are suitable for all ages and all levels, from first-timers to experienced dancers. Every céilí has a caller, or someone briefly explains each dance and then “calls” the figures and movements, guiding them through the dances. We work with some of the region’s best Irish musicians and dancers!
Our céilís currently take place at Glen Echo Park, thanks to our event partner, Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture.
