Last week, EducArte was proud to present frevo at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) / World Bank 2023 Annual Spring Meetings. Dancers Kate Spanos and Guilherme Antonio da Silva performed with Brian Falkowski (sax, flute, arrangement), Matvei Sigalov (guitar), Jon Steele (bass), and Joe Herrera (trumpet). We presented classic frevo songs like “Vassourinhas” and “Evocação No. 1,” along with a few samba and choro instrumental pieces.
Our performance was also featured in Brazil’s news outlet “O Valor Econômico” in an article by Fabíola Góis.
