Bateria EducArte and samba dancers bring Brazil to Frederick’s Hispanic Heritage Festival

2026-10-03 Frederick Hispanic Heritage Festival

We had a great time celebrating at the Hispanic Heritage Festival in Frederick last weekend! We had beautiful weather, and lots of people came out to enjoy samba with us.

The festival was hosted by the Centro Hispano de Frederick, an organization that has been helping the Frederick immigrant population to succeed in Frederick, MD, for the past twenty years. From conducting English and citizenship classes to sponsoring summer STEM classes for students and year-round enrichment events for seniors, Centro has played a crucial role in helping neighbors from other countries prosper. The festival takes place annually on the first Saturday of October, featuring live music, dancing and food from a variety of Latin American countries. The event showcases the richness and diversity of Hispanic culture and to shine a spotlight on the contributions Hispanic neighbors have made and continue to make to the local community.
