College Park Céilí – St. Patrick’s Day Celebration
Join us for an Irish céilí to celebrate the month of St. Patrick’s Day in College Park this year!
EducArte kicks off its Irish programming with its first College Park céilí, an Irish social gathering filled with traditional music and dance. We will learn some basic Irish dance steps and group dances, accompanied by live music by some of the region’s best Irish musicians.
The dance caller will be Kate Spanos and the band will include Marty Frye (flute), David McKindley-Ward (tenor banjo), Sarah Collins (fiddle), and Matt Mulqueen (piano).
This event is free and open to the public. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. We will also have water and snacks for sale for $1 during the céilí. While primarily intended for adults, everyone is welcome. The event will be held at Old Parish House of College Park at 4711 Knox Road.
Space is limited so you must register ahead of time and arrive early/on time. Admission will be on a first come, first serve basis until the space is filled. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we will open up your space to someone on the waiting list.
Please note that masks and proof of vaccination are required at this event. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
The event is a program of College Park-based arts non-profit EducArte. Special thanks to event sponsor, the College Park Arts Exchange.
