EducArte’s Brazilian Dance Workshop
Learn samba from Zezeh, Brazilian dancer, teacher, choreographer, performer, and healer from São Paulo with a mission to bring more joy to the world through art. Zezeh will demonstrate and teach the basics of samba dance. Also stay for our percussion ensemble workshop with André Coelho immediately following the dance workshop!
This is a regularly occurring Brazilian dance workshop hosted by EducArte. All levels are welcome to participate.
This event is free and open to the public. While primarily intended for adults, everyone is welcome. Please note that this will be held in the outdoor courtyard at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church at 4512 College Avenue in College Park, MD. You can park in any of the parking lots behind the church—just turn onto Princetown Ave or Yale Ave to access the parking lots. We will meet outside behind the church at the circular labyrinth (looks like this: https://www.educarteinc.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Brazilian-percussion-ensemble-St.-Andrews.jpg).
There is a chance of rain on Saturday so please check your email and our social media channels for updates in case of a weather cancellation.
Please note that masks and proof of vaccination are required at this event. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
The event is a program of College Park-based arts non-profit EducArte. Special thanks to event sponsor, the College Park Arts Exchange.
