CUA musicologist and Ph.D. candidate Tom Rohde will be discussing and performing selections of Brazilian choro from the 1950s to the present with a group of talented Brazilian music specialists. The program will focus on the history, revival, and maintenance of Brazilian musical traditions in the midst of contemporary musical innovations by some of Brazil’s most renowned musicians and composers.
