Richard Miller (Brazilian guitar) at Brentwood Arts Exchange
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Richard Miller dazzles audiences with the expressive sounds of the Brazilian 7-string nylon guitar, including a repertoire of Brazilian styles (choro, samba, bossa nova, forro, etc.), American jazz, and Latin American styles. Now living on the West Coast, Richard received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in music theory from Catholic University and was the premier Brazilian guitarist and arranger in Washington, D.C., including serving as the Music Director for the Kennedy Center’s commissioned musical, “OLIVERio: A Brazilian Twist.”
